Over that last five days we have had 1.89 inches of rain and while good, many not far away have had over that in one day. So we locally have been on the drier side. Wildlife appears to be normal as is plant life. Locally we are still dealing with dead tress that were affected by both the drought conditions and the bug infestations from a few years back. We only have 3/4 acres and keep about half in woods. Last fall a dead tree fell and checking recently there are at least three more dead. I know there as in all things a life cycle but good chunks of the northeast are dealing with this issue. As for wildfire, the last one within the town boarders was close to a month ago. Of the two major brooks in town, neither has come, so far, to anywhere near flooding this spring. The few local farmers are planting and I know of no issues.  View
